Description of the job

Start date: 2018 (flexible) from February until end of August (3 to 5 months duration)
Location: Stevenage

The antenna group in Stevenage is the centre of competence of Antenna for space telecom application. The Antenna group has a key role in the telecom satellite business and as such the antenna group is involved in various aspect of the manufacturing of the satellite: direct discussion with Airbus customer to define their specification and negotiate with them, design of the antenna and support of test.
It is essential to maintain good process and develop internal tools to offer competitive solution.

During this internship, the activities you may undertake will include;

·  Development of internal Software
·  Improvement of Database
·  Internal antenna RF study

Required skills

Please note our Internships are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following;

·  Currently studying towards a degree in Mathematics or related subject.
·  Proactive, adaptable and flexible
·  Good written and verbal communication skills
·  Good team working skills.
·  Knowledge of Matlab and Linux is a plus
