An opportunity has arisen for a Ground Support System MDS Administrator - A400M at Airbus Defence and Space, in Brize Norton. As the successful candidate you will be responsible for activities related to the Technical Support Services elements contracted by UK Ministry of Defence within the Airbus Military A400M Customer Services domain. You will report hierarchically to the Technical Services Manager of Airbus Military UK and functionally to the Airbus Military Information Systems (MSI).
The Airbus Military UK Customer Services organisation (MKS) is accountable for the delivery of support services in the UK for Airbus Military aircraft. For A400M, the organisation is accountable for the technical specification and delivery of the end-to-end support service to the UK MOD, and the A400M entry-into-service with the Royal Air Force (RAF).
The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs.

Tasks & accountabilities
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
· Be part of a local team of 8 specialists supporting the whole range of ground support systems. This team will be based at MOB Brize Norton. The GSD team will for all systems, be supported by Airbus Military helspdesk.
· While the job holder will be primarily be focused on MDS (Maintenance Data System) he/she is expected to acquire enough knowledge on all other systems in order to allow mitigation in the event of absence or sickness.
· Assistance to the Royal Air Force, which will include supporting RAF personnel user Log in, providing guidance to the RAF personnel in the usage of the MDS, supporting the Line Mil Part 145 and Mil Part 145 MRO, Mil Part M. Organisations with User Log in, etc.
· Relationship with AMUK/AMSL / reporting, which will include ensuring Support performances with regards to the GSD are in line with the contracted service level agreement, promoting and protecting AMUK/AMSL image within RAF, proposing and helping to implement appropriate actions to increase overall customer satisfaction and ISS profitability.
· Teamwork: Contribute to cohesion between all ISS team members, especially GSD Team, (EADS and subcontractors on MOB) and with RAF. Motivate them to deliver the best performance, especially under pressure. And occasionally when required stand in for a GSD Team member.

Required skills
As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate some or all of the following skills and competencies:
· Evidence of successful formal education
· Some experience in an IS/IT environment
· Familiar with maintenance and troubleshooting of tools such as Aircraft Ground support system tools
· Familiar with Airbus type (A380 or 330/340) operation in airlines would be a bonus
· Good knowledge in Windows system administration
· Familiar with IS/IT administration
· The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs
· Negotiation level in English (both written and verbal)
