A vacancy for a Patent Attorney (f/m) has arisen within Airbus Group Corporate Functions in Munich/Ottobrunn. The successful applicant will join “TXPD - Intellectual Property”.

Tasks & accountabilities
The Airbus Group Innovations Patent Department, located in Ottobrunn, is looking for a highly motivated Patent Attorney.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
· Identification and assessment of inventions and other protectable subject matters in cooperation with inventors
· Processing invention disclosures including evaluation according to strategic and legal requirements
· Drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications
· Filing and prosecuting trademark applications and other types of protective rights
· Conducting appeal and opposition proceedings
· Managing external patent law firms with focus on quality and effectiveness
· Instructing and controlling external patent attorneys and other IP services in Germany and abroad.
· Assessing patent infringements and enforcing IP rights
· Performing patent searches, patent monitoring and Freedom to Operate Analyses
· Creating legal opinions in patent and trademark matters
· Legal assessment and negotiation of IP related contracts (e.g. R&D contracts, joint ownership agreements, IP licensing and sale)
· Strategic patent portfolio management
· Support and development of IP processes and IP strategies
· Calculation of inventor remuneration according to German law
· Training and advising researchers and engineers in all IP related topics and fostering IP awareness
Required skills
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
· Degree in Engineering, Science or Physics plus additional legal education as German Patent Attorney and/or European Patent Attorney
· Experience in Project Management
· Good communication skills
· Strong team spirit and international orientation
· Good intercultural competencies
· Committed and self-motivated way of working
· Fluent German and negotiation level in English
