Desired profile

Tasks & accountabilities

For our team in Donauwörth APSYS is looking for a Material and Process engineer. In connection with the materials and obsolescence management business (integrating REACH issues), your mission and responsibilities will include:

o Define technical concept, capable to provide innovative solution on airframe products
o Participate in the design and implementation of technological demonstrators
o Qualify materials and process (including documentation: standards, specification, manufacturing instructions…)
o Participate, as part of new developments, in the choice of the best welding process in relation to the design office, production, quality, purchases and support services to meet the customer's objectives (safety, final customer satisfaction, cost, performance)
o Support the industrialization / production / repair & maintenance of metallic and new assembly processes for our customer
o Project follow-up, writing of qualification programs, synthesis of supplier testing reports and analysis of non-conformity reports
o Ensure dissemination of information within the group

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills:

o You hold an engineering degree or comparable (PhD, Diploma, Master) specialized in materials and / or aerospace
o As a technologist you are attracted by the development of metallic materials and new assembly processes from the exploratory phase to their implementation in the production workshops. You have a first experience in a similar position and real knowledge of welding technologies and additive layer manufacturing
o Ability to develop ideas and concept for new technologies
o You ideally justify a first experience in project management and production assistance.
o Curious, pro-active, you know how to work in a multidisciplinary team, and have a good analytical mind
o German / English: fluent / negotiation level. French would be a plus.
o Experienced professional (3+ years)
