Location:
At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we support Airbus Helicopters in developing helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield

Tasks:
·
Manage and coordinate the new laboratory test requests (coupon manufacturing, physical, chemical tests, mechanical tests)
·
Lab internal coordination regarding capacity, capability or sub-contracting
·
Open and start a test order in the dedicated workload management system
·
Prepare cost estimation and quotes for test campaigns
·
Follow up of internal and subcontracted test orders
·
Facilitate weekly coordination meetings with the entire laboratory team
·
Update and maintenance of KPI’s
·
Distribution of validated test reports to customers and closure of orders-
·
Preparation of documentation, coordinate detailed technical solutions with other departments
·
Take on functional and/or project-related tasks in projects (e.g. technical project planning, topic responsibility)
Required expertise:
·
The work task requires knowledge and skills that are usually acquired through a relevant, completed course of study with a standard period of study of up to 4 years in the area of Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar with focus on material properties and material testing. The overall knowledge and experience required may have been acquired in other ways
·
Knowledge and experience in the above-mentioned areas of responsibility
·
Practical knowledge of mechanical and physical testing techniques, particularly for composite and metallic materials
·
First experience as a lab engineer dealing with the definition and realization of large test campaigns
·
Experience in budget management is a plus
·
Experience in quality management systems would be appreciated
·
Outstanding organizational skills
·
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
·
Ability to work under pressure
·
Fluent German and very good English (level B2)
·
Willingness to travel domestically and abroad
