A vacancy for a IT: PLM-Engineer – CAD/DMU Domain (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Ottobrunn. The successful applicant will join “CAE Germany & France”.

Tasks & accountabilities
As a key member of the Airbus Defence and Space Information Management team you will have the opportunity to deliver innovative Engineering software solutions to the teams who as part of their day to day work are delivering world leading technologies for Space science and advanced telecommunications.
Deliver IM-Engineering Services and Support to Space Systems business areas on:
· CAD / Digital Mock-Up (DMU) Operations
· Related IM-Engineering projects
· Functional processes for engineering as an integral part of the product lifecycle management (PLM) tool chain
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Deliver services and support our international engineering environment and contribute to the improvement and development of CAx-/Engineering environments and processes, i.e.
· Review and consolidate user needs, requirements and priorities
· Contribute to definition and deployment of new Engineering architectures
· Support and/or lead PLM-projects with respect to End-to-End processes and Local security constraints, e.g. for Germany - “VS-NfD” regulations
· Contribute to implementation, configuration and customization in close cooperation with the users and IM-Infrastructure for CAx- / Engineering Applications, Interfaces to other PLM domains, e.g. Configuration Management, MAIT and Interfaces to System- & Software Engineering
· Provide third level user support for these applications
· Organise and/or perform User Training
Required skills
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
· Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
· Engineer (M.Sc. or equivalent) with minimum 3 years of experience on the Engineering CAD/DMU domain with relation to PLM processes
· Sound Experience with Information Systems and Engineering
· Experience in Quality and Project Management
· Experience on Engineering Environment, i.e.
· CAD Authoring- & Data Management systems (CATIA/ENOVIA V5/V6 appreciated),
· Data Base management (Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server),
· Virtualized- (VDI) and Web-Environment (Apache, Tomcat, WebSphere),
· Agile project methodologies (e.g. ADIM, GPP, Scrum)
· ICT service management (ITIL)
· Familiarity with other PLM tools, e.g. PDM (Windchill) / MRP (SAP) / MAIT systems, Security constraints / regulations
· Negotiation level of English
· Advanced German skills
