The Innovation Management Department is the key department to foster and grow innovation in Airbus Defence and Space. The mission is to identify key future innovations internally and externally and support their development to secure/increase market shares. Based in the UK, France, Spain and Germany, the team manages all innovation proposals and provides coaching and mentoring to entrepreneurial teams from idea conception to market launch/spin out. In addition, the team creates partnerships with Incubator/accelerators and undertakes strategic sourcing of start-ups that have a potential to become part of the company, or opportunities for collaboration.

Tasks & accountabilities

Working with the Innovation Manager, you will support the following main activities:

·  Innovation projects including business planning and project monitoring.
·  Strategic analysis of projects.
·  Events planning from organisation through to delivery both internally and with external partners. A key event will be the Blue Box call for ideas, an opportunity for employees to submit innovative ideas for development.
·  Innovation media preparation.
·  Data analysis and reporting for projects and events.

Required skills

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

·  Currently studying towards a degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Marketing, Finance or related subject.
·  An interest in new technology, start-ups and technology trends.
·  Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
·  Excellent communication skills.
·  Attention to detail.
·  Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

You must be an undergraduate for the full duration of the internship.

The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs.
