Description of the job

A vacancy for a Infrastructure Transition Coordinator has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Corsham, but can also be based from Stevenage or Portsmouth.

The Airbus Defence and Space Infrastructure Operations team ensure effective monitoring of excellent quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of all Infrastructure Operations and integrated support activities. This is done through a team made up of Infrastructure Transition Coordinators, Infrastructure Business Operations, and Export Technology Control Officer.
With Airbus Defence and Space’s long heritage, familiarity with a wide range of products, knowledge across the supply base and experience of operating and maintaining systems allowing the Infrastructure Operations to ensure that financial targets and performance are maintained, spend is in line with OPEX budgets and we remain compliant with regards to equipment, data and software movements.
Through a complete and in-depth understanding of all Infrastructure departments and network components, the Infrastructure Transition Coordinator provides a dedicated point of contact for internal and external customers for all Infrastructure support matters.

The focal point for Infrastructure support, ensuring that all inputs and outputs are established and maintained throughout the department.

The successful candidate will need to be eligible to gain UK SC Security Clearance to undertake the role.

Tasks & accountabilities

To fulfil its mission, the Infrastructure Transition Coordinator has the following main responsibilities:

·  Process management

o Single point of contact for all departments
o Own and maintain Infrastructure check lists for all Maturity Gate reviews, Organisational Design Reviews, Service Assurance Commissioning reviews and Technical Design reviews
o Process and procedure control, coordinating 6 monthly reviews etc.
o Change management
o Risks & Issue – identification, Mitigation and Escalation
o Improving efficiency
o Report KPI’s and KPI Improvement Plans
o Engage and integrate with other SC (UK) Departments
o Ensure compatibility with existing or projected support infrastructure and constraints
o Coordination of Infra inputs to customer facing reviews and meetings
o Coordinate inputs and outputs for internal and external audits to Infrastructure

·  Proven experience in a similar role in a technical maintenance and support environment.
·  Experience in resources and workload management.
·  Experience of work package/task management.
·  A good working understanding of all Infrastructure support activities
·  Basic technical knowledge of satellite communication services.
·  Excellent communication skills, able to communicate and influence at all levels.
