A vacancy for a HAPS Warehouse Storeperson has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Farnborough.
The successful applicant will join High Altitude Pseudo Satellite Team (HAPS).
· To be responsible for the receipt & despatch of all goods and coordinate the through put of goods within the Goods inwards, inspection & stores areas
· To ensure the timely and accurate booking of deliveries into the company SAP business system generating the GRN
· Loading / unloading of goods, verifying all deliveries by checking the goods received against the purchase orders and delivery requirements, highlighting & logging any discrepancies
· To ensure material receipt, distribution and storage in accordance with Production & Project schedules to meet Airbus Defence & Space business demands
· To ensure the accuracy and availability of inventory by performing cycle counting and shelf life control processes in accordance with the business system operation procedures both in the warehouse and shop floor containment areas
· To ensure that all ‘use by date' substances / material is monitored and maintained to the highest level to and replaced before end of use by date
· Monitor and report any stock abnormalities in regard to production usage and where needed request replacement material to ensure the production line does not stop
· To monitor delivery / shipping slot time performance (time windows) and report any non-conformances via Supplier / Transport KPI chart to the MP&L Manager
· To coordinate all despatch requirements ensuring items are correctly packaged in line with specifications / procedures. Arranging transport for collection using DHL/UPS online system for UK only or overseas specialist transport for the aircraft
· To provide cover & support to other areas of Logistics including OCD stores as and when required
Desired profile
Tasks & accountabilities
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
· Receive & book in all site deliveries.
· Check outer packaging for damage and take appropriate action – photos, damage reports and raise stock replacement requests where necessary etc.
· Book all Purchase Order related deliveries into SAP
· Receipt of any ITAR controlled items in accordance with procedures
· Manage delivery queries contacting Production Planning, Material Controllers and Purchasing etc
· Receive and package items for external delivery for the Farnborough / Voyager site
· Package items & arrange transport for collection using DHL online system for UK only
· Pack or assist in the packing / loading of items in readiness for overseas shipment, including specific export of spares within dedicated export packaging
· Contact transport department to arrange transport in accordance with procedure
· Assist in the loading of outgoing deliveries into containers using the check list provided
· Control delivery of chemical consumables from supplier to various locations throughout the site
· Maintain the shelf life material both in the stores and production areas, control of the use by dates.
· Provide production with adequate consumable / material to assembly / operational lines
· Pick and load kitting Trolleys and deliver to enable production to maintain their build schedule
Reporting:
· Reporting to the HAPS Transport, Logistics & Customs Manager
Required skills
· Proven experience of operating efficient and effective store control / goods receipt
· Proven and demonstrable evidence of delivery within a similar role
· Knowledge and experience of handling hazardous materials
· Be able to work unsupervised and meet set deadlines, with good communication skills and be computer literate.
· Be methodical and able to ensure operating procedures for the stores are enforced on all levels
· Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and multitask
· The role will have a degree of manual handling
· Full driving licence and Full UK Passport
