Flight Dynamics and Performance Engineer (d/f/m)

It will be your responsibility to perform flight dynamics and flight performance design, simulation and certification activities required to answer Eurofighter and FCAS program project needs during the full development cycle.

Your tasks and responsibilities
·
Analyze System requirements and identify relevant aspects for flight mechanics and flight performance
·
Represent the domain of flight performance in discussions with the applicable certification office
·
Develop flight mechanics and flight performance models
·
Perform time and frequency domain simulations of multiple fidelity levels
·
Analyze aircraft airfield, mission and point performance
·
Analyze stability and control of the aircraft
·
Support aircraft design regarding flight mechanics as well as air vehicle performance within all development phases
·
Support the chief engineers with design decisions
·
Define and analyze flying and handling qualities
·
Support flight test campaigns
·
Analysis flight test data
·
Interact with interface disciplines such as conceptual design, aerodynamics, fuel/stores, loads, safety, etc.
·
Maintenance and update of existing simulation frameworks and tools
Desired skills and qualifications
·
Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering
·
First Engineering experience
·
Experience in flight dynamics and mechanics, flight control system is an advantage
·
Good Programming knowledge: Matlab/Simulink, C/C++, Python
·
Integrity and confidence to speak up
·
Evident ability to learn and grow fast
·
Very good interpersonal and communication skills, strong teamplayer
·
Fluent German and English
