A vacancy for a  “Flight Control  Design Engineer” (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching.

Your location

Located about an hour’s drive north of Munich, Manching is an up-and-coming market town that offers a wide range of leisure and cultural activities. Here, you can

Your Tasks

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

All work related to the flight control law design for manned aircraft. This means in particular

·  Preparation of flight dynamics' models
·  Linear feedback and command path design
·  Non-linear and Care-free handling design
·  Assessment of design solutions in time and frequency domains
·  Execution of simulations with Test Pilots
·  Documentation of design solutions

Qualification:

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering
·  Ideally first engineering experience
·  Knowhow in Flight Control, Flight Mechanics and Control Law Design
·  Simulink and Matlab knowledge/ experience
·  Ideally some SCADE experience
·  Some experience in programming (preferably Fortran, C or Python)
·  Ability to work in a multi-cultural team
·  English fluent, German would be a plus
