Description of the job

The Airbus Military UK Customer Services organisation (TASK) is accountable for the delivery of support services in the UK for Airbus Military aircraft. For A400M, the organisation is accountable for the technical specification and delivery of the end-to-end support service to the UK MOD.
Airbus Military A400M Customer Services (MDS), as an integral part of Airbus Military A400M Central Programme Organisation (CPO), is a programme management organisation acting as the integrated logistics and support service front office for all A400M customers.
The jobholder performs A400M fleet planning activities related to the fleet management elements contracted by UK Ministry of Defence within the Airbus Military A400M Customer Services domain, and is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction. The jobholder reports both operationally and functionally to the Fleet Tasking & Availability Management Supervisor UK (in Airbus Military UK)

Desired profile

Tasks & accountabilities

·  Accountable for the planning of the availability of aircraft to meet the flying programme.
·  Production and maintenance of the aircraft integrated through-life plans.
·  Producing forecasts of aircraft availability.
·  Coordinating plans from stakeholders that impact aircraft availability.
·  Monitoring and reporting performance against plans.
·  Developing and delivering ‘what if' scenarios based on aircraft plans.
·  Long and short-term planning of aircraft usage and assignment to particular tasks.
·  Coordinating and communication activities directly with the MoD and their Agencies.

Required skills

·  Ability to work safely and efficiently in a time sensitive environment
·  Ability to manage day-to-day communications effectively and efficiently
·  Ability to understand and interpret stakeholder expectations and needs
·  Ability to manage and follow-up customer requirements and short-term actions
·  Ability to develop strategies and to plan, including ability to assimilate different facts and opinions in determining innovative solutions to satisfy a wide range of stakeholders
·  Experience in civil aircraft maintenance or operations, operating in the commercial air transport category above 5700kg MTOW.
·  Fluent in written and spoken English, including fluency in communication using technical vocabulary. Ability to communicate in other European language(s) would be beneficial.
