In the Overseas multinational Manufacturing Operations Team on the A380, we're looking for an Aircraft Fitter. The successful candidate will report directly to the process managers and will be expected to deliver targets in line with specific FAL milestones to quality, cost and work schedules.

¤Understanding of the need to complete operational tasks as a working member of the team in accordance with FAL requirements.
¤Highly motivated in order to achieve targets.
¤To ensure personal certification privileges are concurrent and self certification of work is carried out in line SAP competences and company procedures.
¤To ensure continuous adherence of (SHE) Safety, Health and Environment requirements to meet the current regulations. Also supporting and conforming to Airbus UK procedures to maintain JAR21 and JAR145 compliance. Together with local FAL house rules.
¤To maintain the expected levels of business performance and attendance.
¤Willingness to personally develop to support the FAL Team Development Matrix through on site or off site training.
¤Ability to hold a two-way discussion/communication with members of the team, supporting staff and partners.
¤Flexibility at all times in order to meet FAL requirements.

Required skills
¤The successful candidates will have served a recognised apprenticeship.
¤In-depth production knowledge gained through a minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience In a wing-equipping environment, preferably with a good knowledge of aircraft systems.
¤Ability to carry out a range of activities to tight deadlines in accordance with Airbus procedures.
¤Ability to work from the principles in a skill or discipline. Typically this would result from having gained experience of sufficient depth and/or breadth of all aspects of a/c production.
¤Proven skills that will enable the jobholder to help the team achieve performance objectives.
¤Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all operational and supporting levels including customers and their representatives.
¤Excellent record of time and attendance is essential.
¤Ideally, but not essentially, applicants should have previous FAL experience. They must be completely self motivated and able to work autonomously where required.
¤Candidates must be able to demonstrate a high level of customer focus coupled with the ability to understand the wider implications of working flight line aircraft, the role will require the selected individual to be very flexible.
¤The level of English has to be fluent and the ability to speak French and German would be an advantage.
