Description of the job

A vacancy for a Eurofighter FCS Equipment Design Responsible Engineer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join “FCS & AUTOPILOT”.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Responsibility for the Eurofighter FCS Electronic Equipment Design (FCS, IMU, SSICA, ADT).
·  Generation and maintenance of the technical contract documents (Equipment Specifications, Data Requirement List (DRL) , Equipment Engineering Design Requirement Documents, Functional Requirement Document (FRD), Equipment Interface Control Document)
·  Responsible for compliance to technical contract documents, equipment change management and build standard management
·  Introduce updates of the existing equipment documentation via change management, Request for Alteration (RFA), Equipment Alteration Proposal Form (EAPF), Modification (MOD)
·  Manage requirements from the higher level specifications (internal and external), system requirements allocated to hardware and FCS System architecture.
·  Manage FCS Equipment Obsolescence
·  Support System Support Centre (SUZ) and End of Line requests concerning Equipment Queries, Defects and Problem investigations
·  Point of Contact and technical control of supplier activities/results (validation and acceptance of DRL items, Declaration of Design&Performance (DDP), limitations and deviations, support and assessment for defect investigations and repairs, harmonization and controlling of supplier and FJT program plans).
·  Liaison and coordination with other FJT sections, Airbus departments (EMC, RM&T, ILS, QA, ...) and the customer when necessary
·  Reporting to the FCS Engineering Manager and to the FCS Equipment Design Discipline Leader

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to degree in Engineering on aeronautics, electrical/electronic or equivalent
·  Deep knowledge in FCS Electronic Equipment
·  Experience in managing hardware specifications and requirements
·  Experience in dealing with internal and external Airbus suppliers
·  Creation, Maintenance and Review of Technical Documentation
·  Fluent in English, German would be a an advantage
