Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a

Flight Ops Engineer within Eurodrone (d/f/m)

A vacancy for a Technical Publication Flight Operation Engineer (for Non-approved operational manuals) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching.

TASSD “Technical Information and Data” department gathers approximately 300 people in Europe, including pilots and flight engineers, working together to provide comprehensive operational and maintenance support to military operators. We are now looking for curious and open-minded colleagues to support our team for the multinational Eurodrone program.

Your tasks and responsibilities

· 
Being part of the Technical Publication Team in the Prime Contractor Role

· 
Contribute to develop the project specific authoring rules and guidelines for the specific manuals

· 
Support the Technical Publications community in applying the defined rules and processes

· 
Develop and maintain the Non-approved Operational documentation for the use of pilots and mission operators of an unmanned system (e.g., FCOM, MMEL, QRH)

· 
Define normal, abnormal and emergency procedures for the flight crew in coordination with other stakeholders

· 
Authoring of non-approved flight ops documentation for complex systems in a structured and end user centric way

· 
Assess and implement configuration criterion to deliver appropriate content to operators

· 
Provide source data for the creation of Electronic Checklists (ECL) to be displayed as primary means in the Ground Station

· 
Ensure consistency and continuity with the approved operational manuals and ECL

· 
Participate in dedicated expert working groups

· 
Participate in the continuous improvement of tools or processes for flight operations manuals.

Desired skills and qualifications

· 
Graduated Engineer (Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineer, Technical Documentation, …)

· 
Confirmed 3 years of experience on an engineering position or equivalent

· 
Knowledge of military operations, or practical (military) aviation experience, or flight operation experience is advantageous

· 
Sound knowledge and understanding of aircraft systems, or ability to quickly learn and understand aircraft systems.

· 
Knowledge of XML editors like FODM, PTC Arbortext, Oxygen, XMLSpy

· 
Knowledge of international standards like ATA Spec 2300 or ASD S1000D

· 
Ability for clear formulation (“Pilot language”)

· 
Proactive, good team player and good organizational skills

· 
Act autonomously and stay to commitments

· 
Fluent English is mandatory (Spanish and French a plus)

· 
High level of flexibility and engagement
