The Super Puma aircraft is making a strong comeback on the civil and military market. This results in the signature of new contracts. Each customer has very specific needs which requires design changes to be certified.
The mission of the Certification and Qualification Engineer is mainly to lead the compliance demonstration to the applicable airworthiness requirements (FAR29/JAR29/CS29) for each new design. In the frame of contracts, he/she needs to organise the justification to the customer contractual requirements. It is also to lead the activities to demonstrate the safe flight capability of the helicopters when performing flight tests. Finally CQE is the main interface towards Airworthiness Authorities (civil and military) notably for major modifications.
The position of this offer covers certification and qualification activities of contracts from simple to medium complexity. This concerns cases where customer selects an aircraft configuration quite standard which only requires few design changes and with no or few contractual requirements. However whatever the contract complexity, the process of certification, flight clearance and final qualification is the same.
Each project involves various contributors (Chief Engineering, System Design Responsibles, experts, customer support, flight tests pilots & engineers, ..). As Super Puma CQE in charge of the contract, you will have the opportunity to work on a large variety of topics on this highly equipped aircraft. This diversity will allow you to discover several technical domains as well as the full qualification process of an aircraft.
You will have to understand all the aspects of each modification project (technical content, configuration) you are managing in order to be able to establish the related certification program. This consists in the identification of all FAR29/JAR29/CS29 affected requirements, and proposal of the associated Means of Compliance. As CQE you have the full responsibility to establish a certification/qualification strategy, to harmonize it with all relevant Verification Engineers (CVE), to validate compliance documents and to support design changes approval.
Your challenges:
Your main responsibilities will include
·
Project Management:
·
Planning and piloting of certification / qualification activities in line with approval needs
·
Follow-up and reporting on compliance demonstration activities progress, fixing hard points, and ensuring on-time completion of the activities,

Certification/Qualification activities:
·
Identification and definition of the applicable Certification basis,
·
Definition of certification logic, establishing corresponding plan,
·
Leading the certification activities: reviewing and releasing all compliance documents, consolidating the results of the compliance demonstration and declaring compliance,
·
Establishing Flight Conditions Approval files,
·
To make design changes and flight conditions approved under DOA privileges or with Authorities
Your profile:
You will have the following skills and experience:
·
Educated to a 5 years’ degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline.
·
At least 2 years of overall Engineering experience
·
An experience of 1 to 3 years in the certification of helicopters as CVE / CQE or as Design Responsible would be a plus
·

·
Rigor and structured mind
·
Open minded, capability to face hypothesis evolutions
·
