Joining an Airbus Apprenticeship programme could be the ideal start to your career, just as it has been for many of our Senior Managers today. Our Apprentices receive second to none training, gaining the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to enable you to make an immediate contribution when you enter the workforce.

Our Engineering Degree Apprenticeship offers a full degree with no fees, plus vocational training with a regular salary. The first of its kind in the UK, Airbus is leading the way with this unique 4 year programme through which you will achieve a BEng in Aerospace Engineering following the design pathway, and a professional IEng level award.

This specialist programme is designed to develop high level aeronautical engineering skills by combining academic and vocational studies in aeronautical engineering. You will be studying at City of Bristol College and the University of the West of England (UWE), to achieve your degree, and your industry based work takes place at our world leading aircraft manufacturer site in Filton, Bristol.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your first 8 months on the programme will be spent at college completing your vocational foundation diploma. Following this, our Engineering Degree Apprentices then go on to develop their skills and technical knowledge through a combination of academic study and on the job work and training.

Work placements at Airbus take place within the Systems, Landing Gear, and Structures Engineering organisations, and placements can include Architecture, Design, Simulation, Aircraft Integration, Safety Analysis, Certification, In-service Support, Stress, and Systems Installation.

Our Engineering Degree Apprentices can expect to gain broad real-world experience across variety of exciting programmes, working with world leading experts in aerospace; a benefit that only an apprenticeship can offer!

In addition to your work placements and studies there are a number of valuable training opportunities that cover a variety of subjects, as well as encouraging you to get involved in education and community projects to broaden your experience and develop skills along the way.

Required skills

In order to be eligible for this apprenticeship candidate must have a minimum of:

·  Two A Levels at grade B in Maths and C in Physics (or alternatively an Engineering Level 3 qualification at grade triple distinction)
·  GCSE English Language at grade C or 4, or above
