Joining an Airbus Apprenticeship programme could be the ideal start to your career, just as it has been for many of our Senior Managers today. We consider our apprentices to be ideally qualified, with the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to enable them to make an immediate contribution when they enter the workforce.

All our Apprenticeship programmes are around three years' duration and run partly at Airbus' UK sites and partly at our partnership colleges and universities. Additionally, there are a number of valuable training opportunities that cover a variety of subjects as well as encouraging you to get involved in education and community projects to broaden your experience and skills along the way.

Description of the job

A Craft Apprenticeship offers you the opportunity to acquire new skills whilst in employment, as an Aero Systems Craft Apprentice you will become a Skilled Aircraft Systems Fitter working on the installation and testing of the Aircraft flying controls, fuel and electrical systems.
You will spend your first year completing the Level 2 Foundation course, learning about engineering operations, whilst achieving a number of technical certificates and company required qualifications. You will then study towards NVQ Extended Diploma (Aeronautical Engineering) plus an Additional Electrical Unit Level 3, as well as a National Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering plus 2 Additional Electrical Modules

To apply, you must have a minimum of six GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade B or above including English, Maths and Double Science. Please note; if your Science qualification was taken as single subjects, one of these must be Physics.
