Overview of the department:

The Costing Engineering team within Finance in the UK creates and builds cost information for the technical work packages that Airbus UK is responsible for, our department works alongside the engineering functions to be able to provide accurate engineering cost evaluations to our internal stakeholders. It also provides cost driver expertise on specific technology/products as input to support decision making. We use our specialist engineering expertise and costing knowledge to maintain cost engineering methodologies and maintain data references.

Key tasks/projects you can expect to get involved in

·  Provide cost analysis and alternatives
·  Create cost references from knowledge
·  Prepare Cost Engineering Assumptions
·  Produce Cost Estimation and Simulation
·  Deliver Cost Engineering Dossier
·  Define Cost Engineering Enablers
·  Researches new technologies and associated costs
·  Digital costing process

This role will be based in Filton, Bristol (must be flexible) and will receive the full Airbus UK Graduate programme benefit including £27,000 p/a + £2000 welcome payment

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

Educated to either degree level (2:1 or above) or equivalent within one the following disciplines;

Production/Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace engineering, General Engineering, Aviation Engineer

Or Data Analysis

Understanding of Aerospace products, demonstrate your wider interest in the aerospace industry and motivation for this sector.

Ideal applicants will demonstrate previous experience of organising events or projects resulting in the delivery of added value to the business.

A project or internship covering Improvement Projects and Engineering/Manufacturing Principles

This role will be based in Filton and will receive the full Airbus Graduate programme benefit package including an annual Salary of £27,000, plus a welcome payment of £2,000.
