Job Description
The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria.
VIE Main Requirements:
· European Union citizens (plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein), graduates up to 28 years old
· Have fulfilled military obligations for their country.
· Fluent in English.

A VIE position for an Asia Pacific Sourcing Intelligence has arisen within Airbus Singapore. You will join Airbus procurement department. The mission is to provide the Airbus Singapore Management with business intelligence syntheses that will target the activities of Airbus competitors within the Asia-Pacific aeronautical supply chain.
In a multicultural environment the Job holder, should organize the collection of relevant information for the targeted areas. This gathering of information will be carried out as much with the procurement teams in Singapore and in Europe as with the teams of the other functions implied in the suppliers’ relationship. The position requires also best practice coordination with the other Regional Sourcing Offices in US, India and China and the central team in Toulouse.
The business intelligence results will be used for local supplier identification and – development and shared with the respective business and Procurement stakeholders, developing a robust regional supply chain in APAC, particularly in the area of after-market services and digital.
This 12 month's duration (renewable) contract will start on May, 1st, 2020 at the earliest.
Tasks & accountabilities
More precisely, the business intelligence activity will cover:
- Suppliers Intelligence: characteristics, position in their market, analyses of their overall activities, and strategy of Chinese aeronautical suppliers
- Competitors Intelligence: Mapping of their activities (location, partnerships, supply chain…) and Strategy of Airbus Competitors in China
- Procurement Intelligence: State of relationship practices between customers and suppliers in China
- Market understanding: Scoots regional aerospace activities related to procurement, analyses and synthetizes for the team
Required skills
You will have the following skills and experience:
· Educated to a 5 year’s degree (or equivalent) in Procurement or a related discipline
· 1st experience in airlines/aerospace industry/maintenance sector
· Knowledge in procurement management
· Communication skills
· Digital competencies
· Open mind-set
· Soft Skills: Proactive, autonomy, team spirit, willingness to explore and learn
· Ability to work well with colleagues in a culturally and internationally diverse environment
· Language : Negotiation level in English and some knowledge of mandarin language will be a plus
