Description of the job

A vacancy for a Citrix Expert (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Ottobrunn. You will join the Infrastructur Project Team and will be the single point of contact for IM business partners for all Citrix aspects.

As Citrix Expert, you will lead, guide and support a transnational team within Airbus Defence & Space. You will need the ability to Design Citrix solutions based on Business needs in complex environments with focus on availability, performance and security. You will be responsible for the common Citrix roadmap for Airbus Defence & Space.

You will work closely with Business, project/program managers, and other IT teams to act as point of contact for end user community regarding all Citrix related technologies and act as escalation point for issues raised by Airbus Defence & Space Business units or other departments within IT such as Networking, Back Office and Front office.

You will need to be a creative thinker able to propose innovative ways to look at problems, improve the overall service processes used by the team, direct the resolution of all operational problems, manage all related crisis cells and coordinate all providers involved.

Business focus, strong analytical and problem solving skills are needed in order to be able to quickly act upon any issue that affects the service. Excellent written and communications skills to report back the findings of any escalation in a clear, structured manner are required.

Tasks & accountabilities

·  Lead Airbus Defence & Space Citrix projects in a transnational environment
·  Working with Business stakholders to identify the business requrements and the expected outcome
·  Act as the point of contact of IM business partners for Citrix requirements
·  Support entry into service of all Citrix related services in all Airbus Defence & Space location in close collaboration with other departments and subcontractor companies
·  Enforce all Airbus Defence & Space requirements in accordance to the transnational Airbus Defence & Space Security Policy
·  Ensure subcontractor has appropriate resources and means to work efficiently
·  Drive the resolution of operational problems, manage related crisis cells and coordinate all providers involved
·  Coordinate deployment for Citrix related infrastructure
·  Manage projects according to the company processes, in line with business requirements, budget, time schedules, identify project resources and build project organization

Required skills

·  Long term experience in design and architecture of Citrix environments
·  Experience in cloud computing
·  Knowledge in virtualisation solutions (VMware, KVM, OpenStack) will be of advantage
·  Bachelor degree in Computer/Telecom Engineering or a related discipline
·  3-5 years of relevant quantitative and qualitative experience
·  Business-focused
·  Excellent communication and presentation skills
·  Excellent team player
·  Ability to explain complex IT concepts in a simplified way
·  Management' skills
·  Experience in Project management
·  Fluent in German and English (Negotiation Level); Spanish/French skills will be a plus
·  Willingness to travel
