A vacancy for an AWS/IoT Solution Architect for Industrial Domain (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse. You will join the Industrial Digital Solutions team that delivers cloud-based applications for our Industrial domain (Manufacturing & Logistics mainly, but also some other connected domains such as Quality and Procurement). The customers are all A/C Programs, FALs, plants and they are at the heart of Airbus production and assembly activities.

As an AWS/IoT Solution Architect (m/f), you will join a team of 10 architects and play a key role in designing and maintaining cloud-based and SAP Web applications and ensure their performance in terms of scalability, reusability and cost optimization. You will also contribute to the implementation of a DevOps tool chain that is a fundamental step to fit the success of our projects. Security mindset and responsibility throughout the implementation is mandatory in this cloud landscape.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will be to:

·  Act as visionary to proactively assist in defining the direction for future IT Products & Services and validate product designs.
·  Collaborate with other Solution Architects, systems analysts, and developers to deliver the highest quality solutions via cutting edge technologies.
·  Define models, including solution patterns, to guide solution decisions.
·  Participate in all phases of the application development life cycle including research and design, development, testing, implementation and support.
·  Align architecture strategy with the organization's business goals and long- term strategic planning for the organization's Information systems.
·  Define policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology within the organization.

This role may involve some travel for business in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in IT or a related discipline,
·  3+ years of experience building and deploying cloud solutions (AWS preferred) and web-based solutions (SAP HANA preferred),
·  Experience with automation tools (ex. Ansible, Jenkins, Chef, etc.)
·  Strong commitment to operational security and best practices,
·  Coding abilities (Python, YAML, PowerShell, Bash etc…) could be a plus
·  Team player with a positive and curious mindset,
·  Sense of details and passion for software technologies.
·  Strong analytical problem solving ability
·  Negotiation level of English
