Airbus Chief Technology Office (CTO). Building the Future of Flight!

The Airbus Chief Technology Office (CTO) is looking for an Artificial Intelligence Research scientist in Filton, Bristol.

Tasks & accountabilities

•Deliver timely high value product, service and business innovations into the aviation market and Airbus operations, in line with Customer drivers.

•Participate in cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence and machine learning applications.

•Develop solutions for real-world, large-scale Aerospace problems.

•Participate in research in statistical methodology and Machine Learning applications.

•Establish effective innovation interfaces and collaborations (internal and external) to Airbus, support and facilitate co-innovation with customers and suppliers, open-innovation and Corporate Venturing.

•Define value target roadmaps for innovations, and coordinate the construction of a balanced Innovation Portfolio.

•Drive the identification and framing of credible Innovation Concepts, and prepare the assessment of concepts for inclusion in the Airbus Innovation Portfolio.

•Define and execute rapid elaboration of selected Innovation Concepts, and deliver proposals ready for Innovation Screening.

•Coordinate the quantification of screened innovations, prepare stakeholders for implementation decisions.

•Prepare, validate and govern the execution of the implementation acceleration plan for achieving the innovation committed value target date and value proposition.

•Prepare, validate and govern the execution of an innovation deployment/support/growth plan for each implemented innovation.

Required skills

Your Boarding Pass:

•Master degree in Computer Science, related Machine Learning field or equivalent practical experience.

•Experience contributing to research communities and/or efforts, including participation to AI/ML challenges such as Kaggle, etc.

•Experience in any of the following: Computer Vision, Video Processing and Understanding, Image Processing, Speech Recognition, Natural Language Understanding, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Algorithmic Foundations of Optimization, HCI, Data Mining, AI+Aerospace other Machine.

•Intelligence/Artificial Intelligence related areas.

•Programming experience in one or more of the following: Python, C, C++.
