Job Description
A temporary vacancy for a Stress Engineer has arisen within Airbus in Getafe. The successful applicant will join the Engineering Department.
Mission
Within Airframe R&T Fuselage Department, the job holder will develop new structural solutions and industrials technologies for the Rear Fuselage (S19 & S19.1) from stress perspective, considering all the constrains from the different areas (design, Materials & Process, Manufacturing, Assembly, Operability), and including detailed sizing of composite parts and definition of structural tests together with the results analysis.
Tasks
- Analyse composite & hybrid structures for static strength according to validated methods.
- Ensure adherence to airworthiness regulations, relevant design principles, processes, methods and manufacturing capabilities guidelines.
- Define, interpret and validate tests. Interface and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
- Provide relevant input to design for the creation of drawings for manufacture and support to other functions (i.e. production, customer support) as needed.
- Provide stress analysis for the repair/acceptance of damaged structures.
- Perform monitoring/guidance/support of Sub-contracting firms providing structure analysis work.
Profile
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
· Educated in an Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline.
· At least 5 years of experience as a Stress Engineer.
· Advanced use of CATIA and NASTRAN - PATRAN
· Availability to travel
