Description of the job

A vacancy for an Aircraft Control Modelling & Simulation engineer has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse. You will join Aircraft Control Modeling, Simulation and Tools.
As the successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to gain a global vision on all areas of flight controls, understand the operation of the aircraft and apply your knowledge. Finally, this position will allow you to acquire new skills by intervening in support of project managers.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

- Understanding and supporting the aircraft control systems designers by providing quick and reactive solution. The main actors are handling qualities specialists, control laws designers, Aircraft control systems designers (including primary flight controls, hydraulics, actuators, high lift),
- Participating to Modelling and Simulation activities,
o Capturing needs evolutions from stakeholders
o Developing/updating models and simulation application according to the planning,
o Validating and delivering solutions to the customers,
o Supporting users,
- Ensure the implementation of the methods harmonized within the domain,
- Disseminating the new methods or tools,
- Communicating with the other domains implicated in modelling and simulation.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.
- Experience or knowledge of Modelling and/or simulation,
- Knowledge of Matlab would be a plus,
- Desire to learn, curiosity,
- Dynamism, Proactivity, Adaptability, Autonomous
- Team spirit, Team player,
- Language skills:
Advanced of English
Intermediate level in French
