Description of the job

The Intern will be co-located with a dedicated wing engineering team in Filton, responsible for the continuous development and Airworthiness of the Airbus flagship the A380. This is an excellent opportunity to gain an insight in to Engineering and be part of a truly iconic program for multi international company. The team provide engineering solutions to multiple customers and stakeholders including Test, Quality, Manufacturing, material and process, customer services, Airworthiness and Chief Engineers to ensure the smooth operation to the fleet and plant.

Tasks:

The A380 Continuous Product Development team are responsible for:

·  Assessing Safety and Airworthiness tasks
·  Supporting Major in-service occurrences
·  Providing modification definition of the Aircraft inspection regime support to customer services queries
·  Support to production improvements

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

You must be an undergraduate for the full duration of the placement studying towards a degree in the following: Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.

·  Interested in Airbus and Aerospace technologies
·  Reliable self motivated and proactive with a keen sense to learn and develop
·  Competent in windows and Google
·  Be able to work as an individual or as part of a team
·  Fluent in English both verbal and written
