Job description

AECOM is looking for exceptional, chartered and non-chartered Landscape Architects to join our busy Plymouth studio.  AECOM continually design and deliver a huge range of highly significant regional landscape projects, as well as some of the premier award-winning landscape architecture projects in the world including two consecutive Olympic Games.

As a Landscape Architect in our South West Studio, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of project types at all stages of the planning, design and implementation process. Scope will include working closely with the wider team in the assessment, design development and specification of our projects, inspecting implemented work on site and working as part of a design team for competition entries. For those candidates applying for the non-chartered role we are able to offer exceptional opportunities to fulfil the Landscape Institutes pathway to chartership syllabus, through our truly diverse range of projects and opportunities.

Minmium Requirements

Chartered Landscape Architect

  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related discipline. Chartered
    status with the Landscape Institute is essential.
  • Significant progressive experience.
  • Excellent landscape and visual assessment experience.
  • Strong portfolio of built work which demonstrates excellent design technical
    capabilities with a focus on the delivery of high quality public realm
    projects.
  • Demonstrable track record in the successful delivery of projects from
    proposal development to completion, including periodic project reviews, with a
    focus on maintaining project schedule and budget.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Autocad, Sketch-up, and where possible BIM.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including relationship building and
    communication at all levels and work collaboratively across the organisation and
    with clients.
  • Ability to win work through well-articulated proposals and
    presentations.


Landscape Architect

  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related discipline, diploma
    or Masters Degree in landscape design.
  • Some post grad progressive experience.
  • Excellent landscape and visual assessment experience.
  • Strong portfolio of built work which demonstrates excellent design and
    technical capabilities with a focus on the delivery of high quality public realm
    projects.
  • Demonstrable track record in the successful delivery of projects from
    proposal development to completion, including periodic project reviews, with a
    focus on maintaining project schedule and budget.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Autocad, Sketch-up, and where possible BIM.
