Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to assist in the accurate and efficient wave planning of outbound orders in the Distribution Center (DC) to ensure that warehouse productivity is maximized, customer ship dates are met and DC throughput targets are realized, while adhering to all applicable company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
· Work in the DC’s warehouse management system (WMS) to plan, preview and execute daily production waves, based on pre-established waving rules and criteria.
· Work with the Compliance and Shipping departments to understand customer specific routing or handling requirements to ensure orders are planned for production such that customer requirements for on time shipping and accurate processing are always met.
· Monitor the status of planned waves to communicate any anticipated issues to the affected department.
· Assist the Inventory Control department to resolve product shortages that prevent production waves from completing fully and/or correctly.
· Monitor and update any required reporting regarding wave planning statuses and/or performance, on a timely and effective basis.
· Ensure accurate records relating to wave planning are maintained in an organized and easily accessible manner.
· Participate effectively and enthusiastically in all training provided.
· Assist the
Wave Planning Supervisor in ensuring effective departmental SOP’s are developed, updated and adhered to.
· Other duties as assigned by the
Wave Planning Supervisor.

· DC Managers/Supervisors/Specialists, Compliance, Inventory Control
Knowledge Skills and Abilities :
· Strong working knowledge of computer systems and applications; including WMS. Proficiency in the following applications is essential; Word, Excel and Outlook.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Effective communication skills in the English language, both written and verbal.
· Proven abilities to be accountable, detail oriented, thorough and motivated.
· Work schedule is Friday to Monday inclusive, 7:30am to 6:00pm.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
· A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a distribution or manufacturing operation in a role directly related to the systemic planning of order processing / production.
· University or Community College graduate, or demonstrated equivalent skills gained through work experience.
