Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:
Manage travel expense reduction & saving opportunities for the adidas Group, continuously optimize travel related processes and secure travel policy compliance. Global Travel Management (GTM) comprises all strategic and operational measures related to the business travel activities of our company on a global basis. GTM negotiates and controls cost effective services for planning, organization, execution, reporting and settlement of business travel especially optimization of meeting management program. The position secures meeting and event related group travel bookings, negotiations, site selection proposals and meeting and event policy compliant processes.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide Meetings and Event Management services:
· Observe and analyze meetings and event hotel business market
· Provide consulting to internal customers for meetings and events
· Analyze, tender, negotiate, propose and book group accommodation in regards to travel policy and customer request by using the Global Meeting Management tool
· Manage group services using the meeting management tool
· Provide payment services and internal recharges
· Work closely with Travel Agencies regarding group related transportation bookings
· Attend Group & incentive travel if requested and necessary
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Excellent Team Player
· Comprehensive knowledge of the business travel and MICE industry
· Basic project management skills
· High level of initiative
· Ability to work independently
· Objective-oriented organization skills
· Highly organized: Strong time management, organization and prioritization skills
· IT Skills:
· Proficient in MS Office
· Meeting and Events systems, preferably Cvent
· Language Skills:
· Very good communication and negotiation skills in German and English (verbally and in writing)
· Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
· Certified Travel Agent or University degree in the travel business market or 2 years working experience in similar position (travel agency, event agency, hotel or travel management department)
· Procurement experience
