Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
An exciting 12-month contract opportunity exists to join the adidas team as purchasing specialist in Pacific.
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, Pacific, this role is responsible for providing a world-class level of service relating to purchase order placement, tracking, availability and visibility. This role is also a key business partner to various business units across the market, along with leading the process improvement agenda for the market.

Key Responsibilities:
· To submit purchase orders in line with international logistics timelines for the market, ensuring accurate on time deliveries in line with the company’s business plan.
· Place purchase orders as requested by Demand Planning with correct sizes and dates.
· Maximise the number of orders that are created as dedicated with 1:1 link with sales orders (direct/cross-dock shipments) and coordinate SHAS/VAS requirement.
· Ensure Purchase Orders are transferred to Global Procurement System (GPS) within defined timelines covering demand and limiting excess stock to fulfil orders in line with customer expectations.
· Update the POs after being executed with GOPS on the minimum analysis report in line with the actions specified by Demand Planning/Channels (FL/RG/Retail directly) and timelines advised by GOPS.
· Control Push Out and Pull-Forward programs to manage supplier capacity and stock turn initiatives.
· Identify over and under supply and rectify where possible.
· Summarise and advise the business of all failed orders with resolution within agreed SLA’s.
· Run weekly checks and action to ensure consistency in delivery dates between the confirmation system and purchase orders.
· Manage availability flags.
· In conjunction with Demand Planning complete blind buy excess review and execute cancellation if required.
· Report on volumes of dedicated shipments achieved and periodically review the dedicated process for improvements and potential increases in volume/customers.
· Create regular supplier analysis to measure supplier performance and proactive liaison with other departments to forecast and supply demand.
· Track product and advise relevant stakeholders (Brand, Sales, Order Fulfilment and Customer Service) when either articles/sizes are not bought or when the delivery date cannot be met.
· Identify late orders and update late delivery code in SAP.
· Track all products which are at risk for late due in and request for priority shipment.
· Execute confirmations on a daily basis.
· Monitor on a weekly basis unconfirmed, changed, late outstanding orders and communicate promptly.
· Action all air and/or sea freight requests with GOPS.
· Update airfreight register to ensure that a concise and complete list is available at all times.
· Ensure the system reflects the correct shipping instruction and delivery dates.
· Review aligned logistics reports and investigate where required.
· Upload forecast into ILS on a monthly basis.
· Create stock transport orders if required.
· Co-ordinate hard/soft launches with the project team.
· Respond to GTS/WFM ticketing enquiries within 24 hours.
· Create planning master file and maintain accuracy.
· Establish and maintain good communication and relationships with GOPS personnel.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
· MS Office (Excel/Access; Outlook; Word; PowerPoint).
· SAP knowledge.
· Good organisation and time management skills.

· Fluent in English (oral and written): a good communicator.
· Detail oriented.
Requisite Education & Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
· University degree or equivalent education required.
· 2-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in supply chain and/ or sourcing, or footwear and apparel internationally.
