Product Test Manager

Purpose:    

Manage the Footwear Product Testing process for the assigned category in ensuring that adidas products are meeting or exceeding customer satisfaction in terms of fit & comfort, performance and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

·  Enlarge the local and national testers' database through personal contacts and research with the aim to be able to test products at any time tests are required.
·  Coordinate the Performance Testing activities and conduct footwear product tests according to company standards, evaluate the results and properly communicate them to the contact person in the corresponding Marketing, PjM, Design, Quality organization and the Future Sport Science team.
·  On request conduct competitor product benchmark test.
·  Ensure product verification and judgment calls are done based on the criteria fit & comfort, performance and quality
·  Write statistics and scientific test reports and enter accurate and complete data into the different databases.
·  Constantly work on enhancing the working relationship between Product Testing teams and their internal customers on a global level.
·  Work closely together with the relevant areas within the Footwear Quality Department to provide them with information about critical projects to avoid claims and to get customer feedback and defective return rates from QA side

Knowledge Skills and Abilities :

·  Good understanding of testing processes and parameters.
·  Good communication skills.
·  Active athlete as an advantage in her/his assigned category with an excellent sport specific understanding.
·  Ability to travel as required.
·  Basic Footwear manufacturing knowledge as an advantage.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

•    4 year college or university degree with emphasis in Sports Science preferred.

•    1 to 2 years of working experience in the shoe industry (development, testing or marketing areas) or same level of experience in a business related to the specific category preferred.

•    Excellent written and verbal communication to include presentation skills

•    Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook).

•    Experience in retail business or shoe manufacturing - a plus.

•    Basic biomechanical knowledge
