Position Summary :
The Network Administrator Engineer position performs network administration & planning for all aspects of the Company’s global network infrastructure to include network equipment, servers, and software applications (tools & appliances). Manages global WAN & Internet connectivity. Provides reliable, durable, and cost-effective solutions. Maintains a healthy network with appropriate access, security, availability, performance, capacity, and backups for productivity, efficiency, and business continuity.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
· Secures network access to all internal computing systems and oversee access permissions
· Manages administrative rights to the network infrastructure
· Proactively provisions network services to ensure capacity and performance
· Manages a general-purpose monitoring system used among all IT peers
· Implements and manages security solutions, including firewall and intrusion detection systems
· Installs and configures network hardware and software
· Leads the patching and upgrading of network systems regularly to minimize business risk
· Perform a wide range of network administration duties including installations, debugging, maintenance, upgrades, and general support for Cisco, Brocade, Checkpoint and F5 network equipment.
· Evaluate, test, and deploy all software and hardware upgrades to the networking infrastructure keeping all devices current.
· Proactive monitoring of all network devices, services, and servers using a combination of tools, both on premise and cloud to ensure high availability and SLA’s.
· Manage & troubleshoot network WAN and Internet connectivity throughout the organization.
· Collect and review network & WAN utilization data for capacity and planning purposes
· Assist in developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining disaster recovery plans.
· Interface with vendors for procurement & maintenance of all IT network infrastructures.
· Collaborate and provide support with fellow tech team members to provide end-user support and issue resolution.
· Research, evaluate and recommend technologies to support business requirements.
· Create and maintain documentation for all processes and procedures.
· Actively participate in troubleshooting efforts with peers for support issues impacting the organization.
· Partner with the IT Security Manager to maintain the Company’s security posture.
· Collaboratory management of the Checkpoint firewalls with the IT Security Team.
· Resolves escalated incidents, including 24x7 as required
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging tools and technologies including on premise and cloud.
· Possess excellent customer service and communication skills
· Incident management (e.g., restore service immediately with work-arounds, communicating and acting according to urgency and process)
· Process adherence (e.g., access control approvals, inventory replenishment, update CMDB)
· Process engineering to design workflows
Position-Specific Services and Technologies
· Hyper Converged Solutions including VMWare and Nutanix
· Cisco & Brocade Network Switches
· Wireless 802.11 AP’s. Cisco wireless management technologies, including WLC, ISE , NCS, and MSE
· Checkpoint Firewall
· Intrusion detection/prevention and other security systems
· Traffic optimizers, such as Riverbed and F5 load balancers
· Cisco Adaptive Security Appliances, SSL VPN, and IPSec
· Network and routing protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
· Network services and traffic management systems, such as RADIUS, SNMP, SSH, sFlow, and InMon
· WAN Solutions - MPLS
· Connected infrastructure, including server operating systems, storage, and external clouds
· B2B and B2C connectivity with external vendors
· Systems monitoring software and services, such as syslog, SolarWinds and Splunk
· Motorola and Psion Teklogix RF session controllers and handheld RF devices
· Familiarity with emerging technology – SD-WAN, etc.
Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Computer Science) and 5-7 years of experience; or 10+ years of relevant work experience
· 5 years of LAN experience
· 3 years of WAN experience
· MCSE, CCNA or similar certifications are a plus
· Knowledge of the ITIL framework or similar models for IT workflow
· Knowledge of specific technical products and services in use at TaylorMade
· Success working in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment.

· Office environment, heavy computer use
· Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials
· Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach
· Must be able to work extended hours as needed
