The adidas Manufacture Innovation team is a collaborative group of dedicated teams focused on footwear manufacturing innovation projects, driven to create the best for the Brand and the athlete.As an adiLab team member you will become an active player in the adidas brand and will experience a unique opportunity to apply your engineering competences towards advanced company projects.
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Responsible for strengthening and achieving optimal footwear manufacturing process cost and execute assigned strategic Costing Footwear projects (such as labour cost, clean cost sheets, target assessment, KPI framework) of global scope
Key Responsibilities:
· Proactively support a strong and cohesive adiLab (footwear manufacturing process Innovation) team
· Support the development and continuous improvement of footwear manufacturing processes and systems to ensure Costing requirements and objectives are met
· Manage Footwear Manufacturing Process Costing projects on a day-to-day basis including the development of a project roadmap, project management tools and templates, etc. as well as reporting and communication of project progress and results
· Establish and maintain strong working relationships with LO Innovation, Global Costing, Product Operations, Materials Development, Quality, Product Creation Technology and Sourcing Organization
· Develop a strong Costing expertise and share industry-leading Costing knowledge with all counterparts
· Initiate analysis and improvement of cost standards to ensure a fact-based costing process is implemented for all adiLab manufacturing process developments
· Ensure adherence to standardized adidas costing processes and procedures
· With support, coordinate and conduct category costing reviews at critical milestones in the creation process
· Demonstrate a technical and comprehensive understanding of product/process cost drivers for effective input into the product creation process.
· Work on E2E analysis of current and future processes to identify cost benefits and ensure reliable and realistic calculation.
· Create standardized data collection and evaluation matrix.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
· Knowledge of industrial engineering and project management, costing and production
· Exposure to the latest in materials, manufacturing processes and concepts
· Computer literacy
· Fluency in English, German advantageous
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
· Four year college or university degree in relevant area or comparable degree/education
· Minimum of 2-3 years work experience in the respective manufacturing industry
