Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:
Search engine marketing is one of the key sources of traffic to our online shops. Excellence in SEO is one of the pillars of our overall Online Marketing Strategy and is of vital importance for our shop awareness, revenue generated online and our future growth. We are very proud of our SEO activities and are looking for a rockstar to add to our young, dynamic and high-performing team. This role is for a Global SEO manager within the global team and will report directly to the Senior Global SEO manager. As the newest addition to the Global SEO team, you will be responsible for developing, prioritizing and managing a strong pipeline of SEO tests and projects in order to maximize organic traffic growth across multiple domains of adidas Group in multiple languages. You will track massive traffic patterns; lead global research projects; manage local SEO projects; prioritize projects; report on results and share these findings with the whole team.

Impact on Business
· The objective of the role is to drive revenue growth by supporting the entire global SEO team and regional/local SEO stakeholders.
· How you do this is based on 4 key pillars:

Educate: As part of the Sales, Strategy & Excellence you will support the other SEO team members in educating the business on SEO guidelines using data, trainings and ongoing communication with global and local stakeholders. Depending on the business needs and your skills you will drive specific global SEO projects with the support of the other team members.

Enable: You will support regional/local eCommerce teams in growing their market’s SEO traffic and revenue. You will help in driving the local implementation of the SEO strategy and guidelines defined at a global level.

Scale: As part of the global team you will drive SEO projects that can be scaled to all the markets (and across different brands). You will analyse experiment results and pushing forward next steps at a rigorous pace with the global web analytics team, Product Marketing and various Global eCommerce counterparts (including SEM, other Online Marketing channels, CRM and others) to create synergy and drive global SEO revenue.

Follow up and report: You will get the opportunity to learn all aspects of the Fitness, Fashion and Sporting goods industry (Competitor analysis, Market Dynamics, Fashion trends, etc.) You will than be asked to prepare and share your global/local SEO findings with a large number of stakeholders across the organization evangelizing SEO and its broad impact. At adidas Group, we emphasize quantitative analysis and thorough experimentation. You will learn how to gather the preliminary data to build an experiment and how to subsequently analyze these results and present them in channel forecasts, business cases and post mortems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
· You are passionate about SEO and eCommerce (and within SEO you have specific skills and interest in any of the following: data analysis and testing, backend/code optimization, frontend/content and UX, social/PR and offsite optimization). You are an independent learner and a self-starter.
· Tech / web-savvy: You have a natural curiosity about web companies, new start-ups, and the eCommerce world. It would be even better if you’ve built your own website and tried to make it rank on search engines. Demonstrable track record of business results through SEO also desired.
· You are a native or fluent English speaker (knowledge of other languages is greatly valued).
· You are detail-oriented, but can balance these details with the larger business objectives.
· You are quantitative, pragmatic, and methodical in your approach to SEO.
· You have relentlessly high standards, and are never satisfied with the status quo.
· You are invigorated, not intimidated, by large volumes of data and keywords. You are adept at analyzing data at scale.
· You enjoy problem solving and have a genuine curiosity about how consumers search for information.
· You work well with many types of people and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· You’re an excellent communicator, especially when incorporating data to substantiate your winning point.
· You have a hands-on, “can do” attitude and are pragmatic and solution orientated.
A genuine and demonstrable interest in sports and our industry is obviously a plus!
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
· BA or BS degree (preferred in quantitative field such as economics, mathematics, statistics, or computer science/engineering).
· At least 2-3 years’ of relevant SEO work experience either in-house with an industry leading website or in a search agency.
· Advanced skill with Excel, Adobe Analytics and or Google Analytics required.
· Exposure to SQL, PHP, or other coding languages strongly desired.
· Statistical background is a plus.
