Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Drive category & channel business success within guidelines set by APAC CTC & Merchandising teams
Key Responsibilities:
DO
· Key contact to local channel teams on range specific topics & concepts and feedback needed for APAC team
· Local “Lead” Country expertise input into APAC (business opportunities, CI, trends, etc.)
· Category expert for Country and input into the APAC market Merchandising & CTC (business planning, input on ranging, pricing, GTM, for APAC Category & Channel Plan)
· Create country level RA in line with APAC methodology and template that accurately reflects the country needs by category, price, channel etc.
· Refine Assortment Plans handed over from APAC CTC in collaboration with local Channels as needed based on most recent ST data and local market demands
· Local article management + SMUs briefs to APAC as needed/approved
· Request and adjust local pricing as aligned with APAC BU
DON’T
· Steer country category marketing plan (there is only a brand activation plan lead by BA, category plan is led at APAC BC)
· Be the lead on product and concept presentation to retailer (excepted pre-line meetings prior to GBC / SMM), this is local sales
· Create assortment plans for country/cluster (done by APAC CTC AP)
· Own communication with Global BU or CTC (done by APAC team)
KPI’s:
· Category NS, DCC, CACC, Net Margin, Go in Margin
· Sell-thru
· Efficiency KPIs (overlap, hit rate, sample, range size etc.)
· Compliance to pricing guidance
Key Relationships:
· Japan: Brand Activation, Channels, BD, MD, FINANCE, MOPS
· APAC: CTC, MOPS, Merchandising
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Broad marketing experience with high-level merchandising and retail business knowledge
· Leading and managing a diverse team
· Strong presentation and communications skills
· Advanced user of MS Office products (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
· Experience in both market and above market organization preferred
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
· University degree in Business or equivalent professional experience ideally in sales and/or marketing
· 3-5 years relevant working experience preferred
· Fluent in English
· Fluent or at least intermediate level in Japanese preferred
