Purpose:

To manage an Applied Science Program and perform Data Collection & Analysis in an applied sport context within the creation of disruptive products and services. To act as a consultant for Future product development teams.

Key Accountabilities:

· As a person with a strong applied research track record and the ability to communicate complex scientific tasks to a diverse audience, you enjoy bridging the gap between hands-on applied sport research and strategic business priorities.
· You are part of a small team that helps to track performance of athletes, bridge physical and digital worlds, and delivers insights to our business partners.

Knowledge, Capabilities and Experience:

· Apply in depth understanding and experience with sport science tools, tracking devices, wearables and the interpretation of results to the evaluation of disruptive product and process innovations.
· Lead and Independently organize and execute an end-to-end research process including study design, participant recruitment, conducting experiments, interpreting and delivery of results.
· Manage the hands-on laboratory and field work utilizing various experimental research tools in a safe, functional and efficient way.
· Efficient and regular communication to relevant business partners and project teams.

Qualifications:

· Curiosity
· Passion for Sport
· Strong record of applied research experience and human laboratory/field studies.
· Organized, independent and proactive working style.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex problems to non-technical audiences.
· Master’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science, Applied Physics, or Life Sciences.
· At least 2 years’[WM1] industry relevant experience in one of these science fields.
· Experience working with athletes across a variety of levels
· Ability to work efficiently in individual and team environments.
· Willingness and ability to travel.
· Fluent English language skills.

Preferred:

· Additional language skills.
· Knowledge in analysis software like Matlab, R, or similar.
