Purpose
We are looking for a Manager Copywriting to join our Global Creative Services team based in Amsterdam.
Are you ready to join the ever changing and dynamic department that never knows a dull moment? As a creative writer you know how to pick the right words to form the perfect sentence. Your copy is like a song and your sense of rhythm is outstanding. Your words move, inspire, inform, trigger and convert people to buy adidas. And not just in English… Your text is translatable for all around the world.
How you’ll do it:
· Write copy that excites, informs, intrigues, converts, dazzles and always represents the brand in a suitable way
· Kill your darlings when needed, but be able to stand your ground and argue your case when you feel you should
· Switch hats to match specific target markets and create the right content for them. One moment you are a 16 year old girl loving Selena Gomez, then a marathon runner, followed by being an FC Bayern football fan
· Write clear translation briefs, explaining the objective and meaning of your copy so you can be certain your concept is rolled out consistently around the world
· Oversee and participate in the creative process from concept and strategy to visualisation and final execution
· Craft website content, landing pages, banners advertising, direct mail, flyers and email campaigns for acquisition and retention marketing
· Smile & have fun
Qualifications
· University degree with 2-3 years professional experience as a Copywriter within a global creative agency or environment
· Strong portfolio that demonstrates your expertise and attention to details
· Understanding of SEO and persuasive writing
· You’ve worked with brands before and can follow and maintain guidelines
· Perfect English written skills, both in grammar and in style
· Understanding though that English is not the only language in the world
· Experience developing successful concepts and working in collaborative multi-functional teams
· Be a team player, a social butterfly, that one person often described as “impossible, to unlike”
· Motivational and inspirational skills, you love your job and are not afraid to show it
