Purpose

Responsible for Athlete Services across all categories

Manage and coordinate the setup and processes for Athlete Services products to assure high quality products, fulfilling our athletes’ needs.

Support customized product creation workstream in factories in Germany and Far East to create custom made footwear and apparel for all contracted players according to their individual needs

Be contact person for all future footwear manufacturing initiatives such as Assessment2Engineering and Speed Factory

Key Accountabilities

People:

· Proactively contribute to establish a cross category learning within the Athlete Services team

Product:

· Ability to specify the needs and requirements of the athlete for product customization (performance, fit & comfort, accessorizing and rehabilitation) for m2m factory / Sample Shops.
· Specify the Athlete Service version of an Inline product in close cooperation with Athlete Services, the Inline BU, the factory in Far East and Sports Marketing

Process:

· Create and maintain the product-specific toolbox to clearly communicate required modifications from Athlete Services to the respective factory and to assure the possibility to report on modifications that have been done
· Assist production process in Scheinfeld (made2measure), the Sample Shops and Far East providing information required for Planning and Forecasting
· Assist and advise the respective factory in setting up an Athlete Services specific Quality Management System
· Introduce new articles, components and materials as well as new production methods to the factory in Scheinfeld
· Manage the transfer of engineering guidelines and manufacturing technologies from future footwear manufacturing initiatives (e.g. A2E) into the production of fully functional and highly customized footwear for professional athletes

Knowledge, Experience and Capabilities

Knowledge/Abilities:

· Product creation knowledge (e.g. Materials, Components, Modifications, Technologies, Assembly)
· Modern footwear manufacturing processes and technologies
· Passion for sports
· Preferably knowledge in anatomy and biomechanics

Skills:

· Excellent communication skill required
· Experience in project management
· Strong problem solving skills

IT

· Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint – advanced

Languages:

· English – fluent
· German - fluent

Qualifications

· Min 3-5 years of relevant job experience (Preferably experience in footwear customization in terms of Fit and Comfort, Rehabilitation, Performance)
· College degree or equivalent: Engineering science (e.g. Leather and shoe engineering & Product Development)
· Equivalent apprenticeship (e.g. orthopedic shoemaker, orthopaedic shoetechnician)
