Lab Technician

Purpose :   Performs standardized physical testing on fabrics, trims and garments.

Tracks and communicates testing results.

Key Responsibilities:

· On demand or as part of the USA Claims Desk testing requirements, processes, organizes, and plans testing of fabrics, trims and garments submitted to the lab
· Ensures proper and timely tests are conducted and results are valid.
· Tracks and inputs results into databases; including 3rd party test results
· Conducts all testing by standards set by the adidas Group as a basis for approval or rejection of results.
· Communicates relevant observations on test reports as part of the USA Claims Desk resolution process or as part of on-demand testing requirements to the Liaison Offices and/or Materials Quality, Sourcing & Development Departments.
· Monitors lab inventories and maintenance needs.
· Conducts special tests and projects, as required by management

Knowledge Skills and Abilities :

· Ability to be self directed while working under tight deadlines.
· Ability to work independently under little guidance on several projects simultaneously.
· Ability to accurately follow detailed written and oral instructions.
· Ability to calculate and understand mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages.
· Ability to effectively communicate across regions and departments.
· Ability to understand basic fabric construction.
· Ability to use digital measuring devices.
· Detail oriented.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 

· Commercial apprenticeship and/or degree in textile or garment technology
· 2+ years work related experience preferably in a lab setting.
· Basic computer knowledge of Word, Excel and databases
· Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for a degree.
· Fluent English (verbally and in writing)

Coordinator Warehouse Claims

Purpose :   Main contact person & link between subsidiaries, Liaison Offices and manufacturers to ensure claim coordination and quality assurance according to the adidas Group standards laid down in the “adidas Group Apparel Warehouse Claims Policy”.

Key Responsibilities:

· Coordinates, evaluates & finalizes all incoming Apparel warehouse claims in USA region (including Latin & South American Region) for the adidas Group brands (adidas, Reebok & Taylormade).
· Reviews all incoming claims and decides whether these are justified or not in close cooperation with Global Materials Quality Department & LO Technical Services.
· Registers all justified claims, coordinates necessary test requirements and forwards claims and testing results to all involved parties
· Provides accurate & timely communication flow between subsidiaries, Liaison Office and manufacturer and ensures all parties are kept up-to-date with any claim decisions made and/or any pending issues on a regular base
· Keeps complete and structured records of all claims at all times (in hard copy with all related information like sample proof of claimed garment, full order & claim details, lab test reports, all relevant communication & claim time lines, but also in soft copy like in e-room)
· Ensures finalization of financial settlement of all claims in a timely manner
· Creates and distributes all necessary claim related reports and statistics
