Purpose/Key Responsibilities: (Mission of job/General area of responsibility)

 

·Responsible to ensure that the execution of each operation in the shoe-manufacturing process, within the assigned department(s) of the factory, meets adidas quality standards (In-process control).
·Monitors the QIP (Quality Integration Project) process to ensure that the quality system is working; Leads final inspection, wear test machine, lab audit.
·Implements and monitors the special projects which are required by his/her superior or HQ.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Quality

·Monitors all “in-process” operations / Procedures to ensure that the adidas specifications and process – requirements and / or special customer requirements are being followed. Inspection of PO for key customers (USA, Japan, British, Germany).
·Works with factories to improve quality and manufacturing efficiencies.
·Ensures first production shoes are picked up of every new model made in a factory and send these to assigned corporate managers for assessment. Ensures that the kept confirmation samples are confirmed by the responsible Head – office project manager.
· Monitors the collection of various material and shoe – samples from current production (in-process) at the assigned factory, for lab-testing.  Lab- testing can take place at the factories Lab.
·Daily review all the lab tests for in-coming materials before mass production. Conduct and monitor FGT (Finished Goods Testing) together with the factory labs.
·Actively work with T2 suppliers about the materials (color, embroidery, chemicals, etc).
·Initial inspection PO for every new model.
·Get involved in the 3 commercialization steps (IES- Initial Evaluation Stage, FES -Final Evaluation Stage (equals to  Tech 3 in Reebok), Full Size Trial (in Reebok),PT - Production Trial (equals to Tech 4 in Reebok) done for any new developed model at the assigned factory to ensure that all new developed models can be started on time.

Delivery

·Monitors all packing and labeling according to adidas standards, and / or special customer requirements.
·Ensures adidas delivery objectives are met.
·Works with planning customer service to ensure accurate and timely communication of order status & production issues.
·Follow up the Lean implementation at the factory (6S, working environment)

 

SEA

·Maintains a positive factory relationship via proper communication, and positive attitude.
·Assist in monitoring factories compliance to adidas SOE (Standards of Engagement) and reports observed violations to SEA team. Ensures manufacturers comply with fire and health and safety regulations, reports back and follows up on any short-comings and abuses.

 

Requisite Education/Experience:

·University graduation.
·Technical or Engineering background preferred but not necessary.
·Able to communicate confidently in English (speaking, writing, reading).
·Work well under high pressure
·Good communication and interpersonal skills.
