This person plays a key role in the Go-to-Market teams’ concepting and creative development. The copywriter will work closely with the full team, especially the designers on developing concepts to help bring our products to life across various mediums. The role will be in charge of copy and supporting content for the company’s websites, emails, some advertisements, POS, social media, catalogs, training materials, presentations and other endeavors.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
· Active role in the GTM team to concept, brainstorm and create
· Works closely with product marketing to develop features & benefits for catalogs
· Engages with agency and internal team to develop POS copy for all product launches – includes concept, headline and product copy
· Makes go-forward recommendations on how to communicate product benefit through entire consumer path to purchase
· Writes video/ content scripts and ideates on topics
· Provides supporting copy/content ideas to the social & content team
· Provides copy for owned media channels e.g. website, etc to support athlete win activations
· Supports and provides expert set of eyes for all press materials, working in conjunction with PR team
· Creates effective copy for all websites and other interactive media within agreed-to schedules
· Manages all copy approvals within digital, legal, marketing communications and product marketing
· Supports and suggests improvements and efficiencies to content management systems where copy is published
· Writes online training materials for training platforms, working with product marketing to develop in depth training experiences
· Works closely with web design team to develop product, campaign and other content when required
· Performs other responsibilities as required
Knowledge & Skills Requirements :
· Strong copywriting, grammatical and communications skills
· Proven attention to detail and strong organizational skills
· Expertise with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
· Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred (i.e. Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
· Experience with web content management systems preferred
· Single digit golfer. Knowledge of golf equipment, technology and athletes required to provide content
· Ability to quickly learn and become an authority for others on the brand voice
· Ability to work well cross-functionally and collaboratively
· Outspoken participant in team brainstorms and meetings, offering new ideas and perspectives
Education, Training and Work Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or related field
· 3-5 years experience with marketing or communications copywriting, agency experience preferred
· Significant experience writing for interactive media, including social specific executions
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
· Normal office conditions.
· Ability to work extended hours/weekends as needed to support athlete win activations, launches, etc.
· Domestic/international travel
