BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

The Business Intelligence (BI) function aims to be a Centre of Excellence which converts raw data into meaningful, actionable and insightful information to enable improved decision making across strategic, tactical and operational process within the business. The process by which this is expected to happen is through queries/reporting, analysis, monitoring and predictive analytics which all leverage data to drive efficiencies, improve decision making and increase profitability.

The BI team provides the business with the “One Version of The Truth”, delivering a standardised and consistent view of the region to its stakeholders, as well as aiming to understand consumer behaviour to be present and relevant in our customer’s future. This BI team will be off-shored in order to tap into our existing talent pool in the region and leverage the existing skills in EM.

Key Responsibilities

Planning

· Implement the demand lists for Business Intelligence, based on guidance from BI Manager and on-going dialogue with cross-functional business users
· Execute the Business Intelligence strategy to enhance Brand, Sales, DTC, GOPS and Customer insights.

Processes

· Support data collection from Brand, Sales, DTC, GOPS and global initiatives (KPIs include quality, coverage and timeliness)
· Support data analysis / reporting (regular and ad hoc) to meet cross-functional requirements
· Implement an understanding and use of BI data – and develop new data sources, collection, reporting and processes as needed
· Track the country macroeconomic & socio-economic trends & developments, support the management team with relevant KPIs.
· Checking data accuracy and ensuring data is cleaned for analysis across the business
· Liasing with IT to assist in the creation of Dashboards for the business.
· Facilitate training across EM to empower and upskill the MSTR users across the HUB.

· Local: CTC Managers in Cluster, Wholesale Excellence Managers, DTC Managers.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications

· University degree or above – specific focus on project management, data analysis, Business Intelligence
· 3+ years of general business experience – including experience in a data analysis or reporting function
· Experience with a global consumer goods brand, modern retailer, or market research firm
· Experience in working closely with middle managers across functions
· Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
· Experience with database and business intelligence systems (e.g., SAP, Micro-strategy) preferred

Strong communication skills

· Fluent written and spoken English
