Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
This position plays a key role in the development of the adidas Originals franchise business which is of strategic importance through to 2020. The category is looking to continue its expediential growth of 224% since 2014 with heightening brand marketing efforts.
The Brand Communications Manager will support the creation of the ‘always on’ calendar through all functions, internally and externally. Develop strategic vision for the originals brand and deliver against the Key City Attack plans.
This person will help drive and land with impact, key activation initiatives including brand spaces and position adidas as being the most innovative and open to a streetwear hound audience.
Drive the Brand ambition to land key franchises and co-ordinate the toolkits, calendars and activations for over 200 product introductions in 2018. Drive Brand KPI’s.(Momentum, Net Promoter Score and Spontaneous Purchase Intent)
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in developing a mid-long term attack plan aligned with global and local stakeholders for Originals and Action Sports.
· Assist in developing category calendars to drive and co-ordinate cross functional teams to deliver against key franchises and campaigns.
· Develop creative solutions that take our storytelling to the next level and inspire the new youth of London.
· Co-create and assist the development of activation plans to drive Originals and Action Sports categories.
· Manage the implementation, launch and ongoing activation of key Originals/Action Sports franchises and assist with key product launches and community/culture initiatives.
· Manage campaign and activation budgets efficiently, following internal protocol.
· Co-ordinate and brief specific activations to deliver against an agreed plan (Entertainment and Influencer Marketing, Newsroom, DTC, WHS, SpoMa, Merchandising and EKA’s)
· Ensure global guidelines are upheld during all execution of brand activation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Strong project management skills.
· Strong Power Point and MS Office/Mac skills.
· Good communication and presentation skills with keen business acumen

· Industry awareness and market knowledge
· Marketing knowledge is essential across the mix of brand, retail, NR, DTC and SpoMa
· Evident experience in the business of sport and or fashion
· Driven to succeed against set KPIs and measurements
· Excellent interpersonal skills to manage and motivate a wider cross functional team.
· Event & budget management experience
· Good understanding of London Creator and strong cultural connection to sports, fashion, entertainment and media
· Media knowledge and experience essential
KPIs
· Specific increase in NPS scores in London, targets for which set annually.
· Commercial success of Originals and Action Sports categories and brand health.
· Successful implantation of Originals and Action Sports brand communications strategy.
Requisite education and experience/ qualifications
· Strong level of project management and activation expertise with demonstrably successful results.
· 3-6 years of relevant work experience.
· Good sports industry knowledge across footwear.
· Knowledge of digital marketing, consumer brand experiences and event management.
· Strong knowledge/passion for sport.
· University degree in business / marketing or sport preferable but not essential.
