Purpose: Oversee specific MLS team partnerships by fulfilling contractual obligations, creating and executing asset activation plans for specific teams and events. Act as day to day contact for specific sports marketing assets.
Key Accountabilities:
· Oversee and deliver the MLS team product obligations. (Schedule C, YSC, and Marketing product)
· Develop and execute activation plans for specific MLS teams and product launches
· Work with Sports Marketing Manager on Global Club strategy creation and US Summer Tours
· Develop and execute specific activation programs that will influence the purchasing decision of the consumer
· Work with product marketing, brand marketing, PR and retail marketing to asset activations including but not limited to; jersey launches, retail events, team appearances, and in-game promotions
· Maintain regular communication with program partners to ensure all commitments are fulfilled and superior service has been provided
· Maintain regular communication with sales force and key accounts and develop strategic plans in conjunction with Club marketing goals
· Assist the Events Manager on developing and executing MLS event plans
· Assist with the execution of athlete appearances and retail promotions
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
· Extensive knowledge of soccer category
· Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision making skills
· Ability to work across teams and manage priorities to accomplish multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to maintain a professional attitude in fast paced, changing environments
· Ability to communicate with people at different levels internally and outside of the organization
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)
· Heavy travel and overtime may be required during peak season
Qualifications:
· Four year college or university degree, emphasis in marketing or business preferred
· Minimum of 1-2 years related experience and/or training
· Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for a degree
