Purpose:
Support Materials Manager to establish a comprehensive Costing Materials information system that supports and facilitates adidas Group in pursuing the best price value on the market for all their materials.
Key Responsibilities:
· Understand the manufacturing process and support Materials Expert to establish/develop a material Costing Matrix/Cost breakdown by type of materials in order to get a reasonable and consistent price range for similar material product types from various material suppliers.
Types of materials but not limited to:
Polymer: Rubber & EVA, TPU, Foam
Synthetics
Textile
Leather
· Collaborates/support with each materials expert to negotiate seasonal material prices to provide timely, fact-based and quality material price info based on the development calendar.
· Maintain an effective and efficient material price communication tool and/or system to ensure accurate material costs are available to the adidas Group’s costing personnel, factories, and HQs.
· Is fully aware and informs management of factors likely to impact adidas global material prices in anyway. This includes, but is not limited to, tracking of raw material indices and understanding of customs regulations (import/export.)
· Works closely with other functional areas within LOs and in HQ, ensuring all departments and functional areas work together to achieve adidas' overall objectives.
· Establishes effective business relationships with footwear material suppliers and maintain a high level of quality in the communication with these suppliers.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:
· Good understanding of costing principles.
· Ability to create, plan and deliver presentations.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
· 3-5 years Costing experience in footwear manufacturing.
· Some managerial skills is a plus, is able to lead and motivate the team members
· Great skill on MS office application
· Strong business sense and analytical skills
· Fluent in English, written and verbal (Bulats level 2 or BEC intermediate equivalent)
