Product Writer Developer

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Writer Developer to join one of our clients, a leading Insurance company based in their Ipswich Office.

Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
£18000 per year

Role description:

The role will require you to maintain rating modules using the Polaris Productwriter toolset and MI Studio for use internally and externally to support the business requirements including small change to modules.
What you will be doing:

*Develop capability to use the Polaris Productwriter and MI Studio toolset and an understanding of all Data Dictionaries: Commercial, Household, and Motor
*Amend rating modules for internal and external systems using Commercial, Household and Motor dictionaries
*Support the lead for Polaris and Studio developments for internal and external and ensure that stakeholder requirements are delivered on time
*Produce high quality deliverables and to be able to demonstrate, by working closely with business and software houses, etc and also via testing and working closely with external third parties.
*Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with key stakeholders
*Working with the team make suggestions for improvements in the current processes and use of Products
*Working with the Senior Product Writers to ensure that internal Polaris usage in line with current standards.

Experience and skills required:

*High level of numeracy preferably supported by relevant qualification eg. Maths/Computing background
*Ability to work across various projects simultaneously
*Relationship management skills
*A desire to be involved in the development of rating algorithms and the delivery of products to our software house partners

This role on a temporary contract for 6 months starting ASAP.
