Job Title: Welder, Fabricator and Assembly Operative

Location: Ashford, Kent

Salary: up to £13.50 per hour (dependant on experience)

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm + Friday 8am - 4pm

Role Summary:

You will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components according to specifications, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metalworking, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:

·  Weld, fabricate and assemble to detailed project and product drawings.

·  Undertake welding, fabrication and assembly for steel components and sub-assembly parts.

·  Ensure quality, consistency and integrity of the weld and fabrication process through all stages.

·  Self-inspect and complete work to the quality standards the business adheres to.

·  Perform cutting, shaping, and assembling of metal components using various tools and equipment.

·  Inspect and test welded joints and components to ensure they meet quality standards.

·  Maintain and repair welding equipment and tools.

·  Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.

·  Be pro-active within your role and highlighting and recording any possible issues, problems, variances during the weld and fabrication process.

·  Contribute to the company's ideas and suggestions incentive for continuous improvement.

·  Work to tight production timings to meet project lead time and deadline.

·  Ensure working practices and operation of machinery is conducted within the appropriate company or legislative Health & Safety guidelines.

·  Any other duties requested by Management to enable the smooth and continuous running of the production area.

Experience and skills required for this position:

·  Proven experience as a Fabricator and Welder.

·  Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

·  Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.

·  Knowledge of metal properties and safety standards.

·  Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

·  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·  Strong communication and organisational skills.
