Warehouse & Logistics Assistant

The Warehouse & Logistics Assistant will form an integral part of the company's

logistics and warehouse management function, ensuring that all in and outbound logistical, warehouse, inventory control processes and procedures are executed effectively and efficiently.

LOCATION : Park Royal

SALARY AND HOURS:

£20,000-£25,000 dependant on experience.

Monday - Friday, 9:00-17:30.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Responsible for all inbound logistical duties & procedures

·  Receiving supplier deliveries & processing purchase order receipts

·  Performing physical check and reconciliation of supplier deliveries to packing lists

·  Receiving & processing customer sales, hire and service orders and returns

·  Reporting & logging receipt discrepancies externally with suppliers and internally with all

departments

·  Responsible for all outbound logistical duties & procedures

·  Preparation and shipment of sales, hire and service orders

·  Performing physical check and reconciliation of customer shipments to sales orders and shipping notes

·  Liaising with couriers to ensure timely deliveries & collections

·  Assisting with inventory management by way of regular stock counts

·  Maintaining an organised, tidy, safe warehouse area, ensuring efficient operations

·  Checking of hire returns for physical damage, on/off operation, TX and RX signal

·  Assisting with any other ad hoc activities required by purchasing & logistics administrator

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

·  A good standard of education

·  Good literacy and numeric skills

·  General office administrative experience

·  Knowledge and understanding of sales processes

·  Experience with putting together emails

·  Knowledge on Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

·  Process and procedure driven

·  Excellent written and telephone

·  communication skills

·  Keen eye for attention to detail

·  Ability to work on own initiative and as

·  part of a successful team

·  Good planning and organisational skills

·  Ability to prioritise work and meet

·  deadlines

·  Ability to cope under pressure

·  Ability to manage change

It would be desirable if:

·  You had experience working within a warehouse and logistics environment

·  Knowledge of Sage X3

·  You have commitment to your own personal development

·  You are creative and willing to contribute ideas and professional opinion
