Job Title: Project Coordinator
Salary: £15.86 per hour
Temporary: 2 months initially - potential to roll on to a permanent or long term contract
Full Time: 35 hours per week

We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of London's largest Universities, leading in it's field. Their enterprises team are seeking a Workshop/Projects Coordinator to assist on their EU funded projects.

Purpose of post:

*Lead on development and delivery of business support and innovation workshops, mentoring and student consultancy
*Lead on developing and maintaining relationships with academics and external contractors delivering on business support programmes
*Build community of Entrepreneurs (project participants) on business support programmes developing a community in each project and across a wider network
*Provide efficient and effective coordination of business support and innovation programmes as required from development to delivery and completion working closely with the Contract and Project Managers.

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Identify the needs of Entrepreneurs on business support programmes and develop and deliver key project activities through implementing events, workshops and 1-2-1 sessions
2.Work with Business Support and Innovation Programme Managers to coordinate the development and delivery of workshops and mentoring
3.Act as key contact point for Entrepreneurs on business support programmes, actively building a community for each project
4.Build engagement with academics in relevant schools to design and develop repeatable and high quality workshops. Work closely together with academics to ensure activities are delivered to plan and meet project team expectations.
5.Attend relevant external business support events to understand landscape and ensure university programmes stay up to date, relevant and ahead of the competition
6.Act as the initial contact point for potential project participants (entrepreneurs), providing relevant information on services we can provide and ensuring they understand what to expect.
7.Identify how our capabilities and service offering can meet the requirements of businesses, and where possible, identifying potential areas of interest for that will improve participant engagement.
8.Work with PMs develop feedback mechanisms which will inform the quality assurance, evaluation process an ongoing development of programme content
9.Maintain a long-term relationship with our community of entrepreneurs by designing engagement platforms (e.g. organising meet-ups and other networking activities) and monitor progress throughout their development
10.Manage and coordinate student consultancy projects and mentoring, supporting the recruitment process, ensuring the students and mentors are well placed and monitoring activity and progress
11.Coordinate delivery of all project events including the booking and set up of rooms, liaising with individual(s) delivering the content, printing of materials and registration forms, and pre-and post-management of SMEs
12.Provide administrative and claims support if required and absence cover, as and when necessary.
13.Identify opportunities for collaborative working, in particular, ways to commercialise our services
14.Perform other duties as requested by Contracts Manager

SELECTION CRITERIA

A.Experience of working on EU funded projects in a complex multi stakeholder Environment (desirable)
B.Experience of working with small businesses on a day-to-day basis
C.Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building both internally and externally
D.Experience of developing and delivering events and workshops
E.Qualified to degree level or equivalent
F.Experience in providing efficient and effective administrative support to a high standard in a busy environment
G.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks.
H.Well organized with the ability to prioritise workloads and deal with changing priorities.
I.Proactive and enthusiastic approach to work with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people.
J.Effective communication skills both written and oral.
K.Good knowledge of IT systems, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
L.Able to demonstrate an understanding of, and commitment to, equal opportunities and diversity and their practical application.
