Adecco Recruitment are currently recruiting for on behalf of our client, a Transit Driver/Homecare Technician to provide a safe and efficient installation, replenishment, service and removal of home oxygen therapy equipment to patients in their homes, on time and in full.

working hours are 830am to 5pm Mon-Fri. Must have clean driving license and pass DBS check.

This role requires undertaking of repetitive, heavy lifting tasks.

JobPurpose ______________________________________________________________________________

To provide a safe and efficient installation, replenishment, service and removal of home oxygen therapy equipment to patients in their homes, on time and in full.

To maintain a 24/7 cover period for Home Oxygen service. Outside of normal working hours are subject to an "On Call" rota.

This role requires undertaking of repetitive, heavy lifting tasks.

Due to working with vulnerable people, a fully enhanced DBS is required prior to commencement of this post.

Major Responsibilities _____________________________________________________________________

Service

·  Ensure all jobs are planned and completed on time in accordance with service level agreements/KPIs

·  Use PC based reporting / delivery tools and satnav equipment

·  Flexible approach to workload as circumstances alter

·  Problem-solve and work without close supervision

·  Install and set up equipment in people's homes

·  Assess the best / safest route when installing Oxygen tubing and associated equipment

·  Correct use of provided manual handling equipment and tools to install and remove equipment

·  Maintain the reputation of company with Patients, Healthcare Professionals and the Public

Financial

·  Good geographical knowledge of region with an aim to reduce carbon footprint / reduce fuel costs

·  Utilise route selection principles to ensure workload completed within most time-efficient manner.

·  To promote a safe driving culture to actively reduce AIM's (Accidents, Incidents and Near Misses)

·  Participate in continuous improvement by way of suggesting new ideas and opportunities to reduce the overall cost of service provision without compromising quality of service provision

Full driving licence

·  Ability to move heavy objects with supplied manual handling equipment

·  Numerate and literate

·  PC literate (Microsoft Office and Google Chrome suites of products in the main)

·  Punctual

·  Very strong organisational and communication skills with good attention to detail

·  Good geographical knowledge of region(s)

·  Flexible approach and ability to adapt as circumstances alter

·  Ability to remain calm and understanding in difficult circumstances/situations

·  General administration duties in line with legislation, company policies and procedures

·  Knowledge and experience of Dangerous Goods transportation, loading, unloading, load security and segregation.

·  To transfer all pertinent information relating to each day's work throughout the day to maintain efficiency and patient data. Raise any concerns relating to immediate role, the site safety / operation and also ideas that could be of benefit to the operation both in writing or verbally

·  To inform Clinical Services Manager (CSM) of individual patients' peculiarities to enable the supply of Oxygen to be maintained and to assist the CSM in identifying patients with special requirements.

·  Receive and relay patient information on a day to day basis both verbally and in writing to the Customer Services Team to update and clarify patients' details and circumstances.

·  Clinical / Emergency Services Staff - carry out confirmation of patients' details / prescription during "On Call" period over the phone & in person at patients' residence. Contact Emergency Services in adverse circumstances

Area(s) of Experience/Expertise:

·  Ideally to have worked previously in a similar role within a similar customer service delivery industry

·  Ideally to have recent experience of van driving

·  Worked within a time sensitive, customer focused operation

·  Home deliveries/removals

·  Working in a private dwelling/residence

·  Used to frequently carrying out repetitive, heavy lifting/manual handling workloads
